San Luis Valley Envirothon

These guides provide the an outline of the areas of study. There will be field excursions that provide hands-on activities for each topic area. RGWCEI will sponsor field study trips in each area. Schools will be reimbursed bus driver time and fuel for all field study trips but must provide receipts/documentation. Contact Bethany Howell for more information. This year's current issue is

Learning Outcomes

 The following are learning outcomes followed by the national and international Envirothon competitions. The SLV Workshops are tailored to meet these outcomes:

The San Luis Valley Envirothon will host 5 Learning Workshops in preparation for the 2019 state competition.

The dates are as follows:

        Soil and Land Use - October 24, 2018 - Center, CO 

Aquatic Ecology - October 2, 2018 - Monte Vista, CO

        Forestry - November 14, 2018 - Great Sand Dunes

        Oral Presentation/Current Issue - February 6, 2019 - Alamosa, CO

Wildlife - March 28, 2019  TBD
